A screen shot of my workspace of my rough cut. Still thinking if I should include sound or use music instead.
A few screenshots from parts of my short film.
Here are some pictures for me to think about how I want to frame my shot
And for this shot, it's a mere example of how I want my shot setting to look like. With only the light focusing on the hands and not showing my face.
Settings:
One light source
Dark room
No soun

My first idea was to make a video that shows very day hand movement but I thought that it won't be as strong as I want it to be and that people will not see the "story" behind it.
So, I came up with this idea from my brainstorming of telling a story using hand movements through disorders. I did some research on the hand movement of someone with depression, ADHD, anxiety and so on.
Anxiety
The most common hand symptom of anxiety is a restless shaking. This shaking has an obvious cause. When you suffer from anxiety, your body rushes with adrenaline.
Hand-washing compulsions: Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

HAND FLAPPING/FINGER FLICKING: Autism Spectrum Disorder, Delirium
According the DSM 5 is hand flapping (or: repetitive hand shaking, hand clappping, finger flicking, finger twisting) a common behavior assocated with Autims Spectrum Disorder
HAND WRINGING: Rett syndrome (Autism Spectrum Disorder), agitation in Major Depressive Episode
According the DSM-IV hand wringing (which may look like hand washing, representing midline hand movements) can represent a very typical clue for stereotyped hand movements in Rett Syndrome
Informations are all obtained from handresearch
Here are some short cuts of the experimental shoots that I did over the weekend.
